IRNA: "President: Sacrilege to Islam sign of enemies weakness"

This seems to be a reaction to the Pope's remarks, but interestingly the only reference is to "some Westerners."

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Saturday that the current world condition is to the benefit of the world of Islam and Muslim nations and considered insult to Islam and Muslims as a sign of the enemies weakness.

The president made the remark in a meeting with his Sudanese counterpart Umar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement summit here.

Turning to the insult made by some Westerners to Islam and Muslims, he said, "If Muslim states stand side by side and unite on the basis of their commonalties, nothing can pose a threat to them.
