President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Monday the police should be a recipient of affection as well as a symbol of power.
Ahmadinejad's remarks were part of his speech to the first Conference of Islamic Countries' Police Chiefs in Isfahan.
"The police is an institution where affection is received and power exercised. That affection should be a consolation for those who have been wronged," said the president.
