"Martyrs of plane crash were victims of U.S. state terrorism: Esmaeili"

More from Mehr (The Iranian Mehr News Agency). Here is a novel definition of terrorism, refusal to sell spare parts for C-130's!
The main reason that the C-130 military transport plane smashed into a building in southwest Tehran on Tuesday was because Iran cannot buy spare parts for its aging air fleet due to U.S. sanctions, the Iranian Students News Agency quoted the Secretary General of the Association of Muslim Journalists as saying on Saturday.

“So, I believe that the martyrdom of the journalists was because of the United States state terrorism,” Parviz Esmaeili told ISNA.

At least 108 people, 68 of them journalists, were killed Tuesday when the military transport plane suffered engine failure and smashed into a densely populated residential area of Tehran.
According to the article "Iran’s C-130 fleet is over forty years old." In other words the planes were sold to the Shah. And then, ever since the new regime's auspicious beginning, which involved taking American hostages, the Mullas couldn't buy any spare parts. Those American terrorists! If Iran can afford a Manhattan Project, don't you think they can afford some new airplanes? Esmaeili, predictably, went on to offer insights into 9/11 in the same vein:
He went on to say that even U.S. citizens have been victimized by Washington’s violent terrorist policies, adding that if the roots of the September 11 attacks were carefully investigated, it would be revealed that the people who were killed in the attacks were actually the victims of the brutal terrorist policies of the U.S. government and not phantom players like Al-Qaeda.
People who won't sell spare C-130 parts to bellicose Islamists are capable of anything! Update: Speaking of novel definitions of terrorism . . .
