There are two variations of the "Palestinian Holocaust" canard. The more familiar one holds that the Jews are doing to the Palestinians what was done to them by the Germans. The second one, the Holocaust denying one, holds that the "Palestinian Holocaust" is the "real" one; i.e. the World War II one is a hoax. The Muslim world is showing an increasing preference for the second version. Case in point:
Real Holocaust is what befallen [sic] on the Palestinian nation since decades ago, Palestinian ambassador to Tehran told reporters Tuesday.
Salah Zavavi said that the Zionists exploit the World War II Holocaust issue and has [sic] already taken billions of dollars in blackmail from Western countries, especially Germany.
He blasted American President George Bush for ignoring the fate of one and half a million of starved Palestinians in lieu of a Zionist soldier.
We Muslims condemn even the killing of one Jew, whether in World War II or now. We are against Zionists who launch the most brutal attacks against the Palestinian people oin [sic] a daily basis, Zavavi said.
The ambassador from the Palestinian Authority, whose government is Hamas, is among those who "condemn even the killing of one Jew"? Amazing.
Zavavi called for continued assistance to the Palestinian nation especially after their infrastructure was shattered during the recent attacks.
