Representatives of religious minorities in Isfahan province on Sunday strongly condemned a Danish daily's insulting cartoon on holy prophet of Islam Hazrat Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him).According to the Jewish Virtual Library, in Iran "Jewish leaders fear government reprisals if they draw attention to official mistreatment of their community."
"Insult to those assigned by God to guide human beings is an unforgivable sin and it should be confronted," said archbishop of Armenians in Isfahan Papken Charian.
Charian said it is a matter of deep regret that certain media, which have the duty to build friendship and peaceful relationship among governments and nations, take to such insulting actions.
Representative of the Association of Jews in Isfahan Sion Mahgerefte condemned publication of the offensive cartoons, calling it 'unforgivable'.
Mahgerefte said Muslim media, especially Iranian media, are supporting religious minorities in all areas.
"The media should fulfill their duty to support holy values and the divine personalties and should not provoke wrath of the monotheistic religions through their insulting actions," he added.
