The festival was held in Tehran during the Sacred Defense Week (September 22-28).

The Madresseh Cultural Center will play host to the chosen cartoons by Iranian participants while the Bahman Cultural Center showcases the foreign works until Nov. 1.
The festival was cosponsored by Iran’s House of Cartoon, the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense Works and Values, and the Visual Arts Office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
