Fars News: "the system of cultural hegemony is seeking to eradicate love and affinity from man's heart"

North Korea has been lending out its speech writers to Iran again:
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned that the world's hegemonic powers have targeted the religious beliefs and self-reliance of the different countries, including Iran, in a bid to block their progress.

"They spend billions of dollars to target our self-belief and the high hopes and ideals of the different nations in relation to the 12th Imam (the Shiites' Messiah) in a bid to make the nations ignorant of their potentials and capabilities," the president reminded while addressing the 1st National Convention on Cultural Engineering here in Tehran on Wednesday.
"Cultural Engineering"?
Stating that the system of cultural hegemony is seeking to eradicate love and affinity from man's heart, he added, "They strive to push man far away from the ideals sought by all divine prophets."

"They have actually set an expiry date for the said ideals and that's why they have introduced the new world order," Ahmadinejad continued.
Is this a reference to anything in particular or is he just raving?
"Today, we are in the middle of a heavy war on cultural notions and thoughts, while safeguarding and refining our culture constitute our only path to victory and exaltation," he stated.
