President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday that what was witnessed in Lebanon was a real battle field of an unequal war between the world arrogance and united mankind.
He made the remark at a public gathering in the town of Namin on the third day of his provincial tour to Ardebil province along with his cabinet.
The Chief Executive referred to Lebanon as a transparent battle field, where a war was fought between a group of world arrogance -- the so called defenders of human rights -- and united mankind, whose resistance was aimed at promoting peace, restoring human dignity as well as securing independence and freedom.
Ahmadinejad said that the war in Lebanon manifested the eight-year imposed war in IRI and the devoted resistance of the Iranian nation against Saddam Hussein, who was encouraged by America and Britain to attack IRI.
The President said that now, 17 years on, the Iraqi-imposed war, they are still dizzy from the Iranian nation's hard slap on their face.
"In the recent crisis created in Lebanon by the enemies, they imagined that they can conquer the country in two days, attach it to the Zionist regime and make a new Middle East in the region. The admirable resistance of Lebanon made the world realize what adisgracing defeat the dishonored Zionists faced," said the President.

IRIB: "Lebanon battled with arrogance"
This has some interesting variations on the usual themes. The phrase "world arrogance" is used constantly in these articles, but there is some novelty to the equation of Hizbullah and "united mankind." The reference to the Iran-Iraq war is also interesting, if a bit incoherent. The Lebanon war "manifested" the Iran-Iraq war?
