What is happening with those 40,000 troops?

Meryl Yourish, who hs been dong a good job of covering current developments, has a current post entitled "The ground assault begins." It links to an item in the Jerusalem Post which states
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Amir Peretz ordered the IDF on Friday to send ground forces into Lebanon and up to the Litani river, some 30 kilometers from Israel.
Here is Ha'aretz on the same subject:
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Amir Peretz on Friday ordered the Israel Defense Forces to implement an expanded ground operation in Lebanon.

The cabinet approved an operation Wednesday calling for a push to the Litani River, but delayed it until diplomatic efforts were exhausted . . .

A government source in Jerusalem said the IDF received instructions to proceed with the operation . . .
I am coming up a little short here. I see references to "orders" and "instructions," but no actual troop movements. So what is actually happening? Are those 40,000 troops actually on the move? In any event, now would be a good time to give some tzedaka and say some tehillim that the IDF soliders should be safe and successful.

Update: According to Ted Belman at Israpundit in the comments: "It appears that only a partial invasion has begun. The tanks in the NE corner of Israel are not yet on the move."
