I once heard the following devar Torah for this week's parshah from a Breslover Chossid:
One translation of the word "eikev" is "heel." As Rashi comments on the first verse of the parshah, we should be careful to keep the mitzvos that a person "steps on with his heels"--i.e the ones that are easy to neglect. What is the principle mitzvah that people always "step on" and neglect? The mitzvah to always be be'simchah!
