IRNA: "Cleric says anti-Iran resolution 'unimportant'"

Some choice Irangrish:
Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani here Friday assessed as "unimportant" adoption of resolutions against Iran by the United Nations Security Council.

Emami Kashani was addressing worshipers in Tehran University while delivering his second Friday prayers sermon.

"In case of adoption of even 10 other resolutions, no damage will be inflicted to the country.

"Iran is a united and coherent country which has a wise nation," Ayatollah Kashani said.

He recommended the five permanent members of the Security Council (China, Russia, Britain, France and the US) plus Germany (Group 5+1) to abandon evil works.

He addressed the six states as saying, "Such measures will be fruitless for you."

The cleric added that they were ignorant of domestic situation in Iran and thought the first resolution against Iran has caused damage to the country.

"This is while the Iranian nation is coherent and committed to the Islamic and Iranian civilization, the religion and Supreme Leader (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei), who really takes interests of Islam and Iran into consideration."
He said resolutions were part of the enemies' plan which have been passed with haste.

The substitute Friday prayers leader added that propaganda against Islam, depicting it as the religion of violence and terror, and propaganda against the Iranian civilization were another plot of the enemies.
"Propaganda against the Iranian civilization"? Is that a reference to a certain movie?
"Enemies intend to introduce Iranians to the world as violent nation with weapons.

"Both from the viewpoint of religion and the leader nuclear energy is not tantamount to enrichment to a scale to produce atomic weapons," he said.

"Enrichment is conducted to a scale of industry and the country's needs. Iran authorizes the world to come to the country and supervise nuclear activities," Emami Kashani stated.
That's right hospitable of them. Perhaps they'll also buy the world a Zam Zam Cola.
He added that enemies intend to weaken Iran and harm its prestige.

"We believe we will not backdown our stance, which is nuclear energy is our inalienable right."
Have a Songun Shabbos!
