IRIB Radio: "Carter Calls Zionist Entity the Main Reason of Crisis in the Middle East"

There is some of the usual mangling of details here, but it hardly makes Carter seem more anti-Israel than he really is:
In his latest book published recently in Vienna, former US president, Jimmy Carter, called the illegal Zionist entity, Israel, the main reason behind the Middle Ease crisis.

He introduced his book called “Palestine is not Apartheid” last Tuesday night in Vienna.

In this book Carter has warned that by staying quiet against the policies of Israel, the US is only inviting trouble against itself that undermines the country’s international standing.

Although no supporter of the Palestinian people, Carter has said: the West Bank and the Gaza Strip are surrounded by about 100 Israeli control units and it is hard and at times impossible for people to travel to other regions.

He added: Food supplies to the West Bank and the Gaza are limited and at times non existent. At the same time, teachers, nurses and Palestinian welfare workers have to wait for months to receive their monthly salary. The annual income in the past 3 years has fallen by 40% and the number of poor has risen to 70%.

Carter writes: More than half of the Palestinian families eat just one square meal a day; Palestinian children between the ages of 12-to-14 are sentenced to more than 6 months in prison.

The US former president has also expressed his disappointment that major Christian cities are surrounded by Zionist security fences. For example a Christian monastery has been split into two parts by a wall, the building is now in the Israeli side and the members of the church live on the other side of the wall.
